Volunteered to read soldier letters before packaging them with candy bars. it's important that these hand-written letters, mostly from school kids include broad details, do not contain personal information but have positive salutations and express gratitude for their service.
Our Work in 2024
(February)
Women Embracing Transition collaborates with and supports several military organizations, one of which is Operation Empowering Hope. Their mission is to bring hope to soldiers who are dealing with high suicide rates and live in extreme cold temperatures, by providing chaplains with tools to reach these soldiers.
-
Tools to engage soldiers include candy bar bundles, replenish a chaplain store, coffee bar, thank you bags, letters of encouragement, and a weekly prayer chain.
-
Volunteers assemble these candy/letter bundles every second and fourth Thursday of the month and mail them out to four military bases where they have a relationship with Chaplains, and Religious Specialists.
-
Their goal is to show God's love in a tangible way.
